The sounds between 0:59 and 1:21 perfectly illustrate how I feel the moment everything that was ever present during Spring and Summer dies and becomes nothing during the middle of Fall. The moment everything that once gave me hives, rashes, sneezes, and mental frustration dies, everything turns back on for me. I’m no longer an unbearable person who must remain inside, constantly complaining about my inability to do anything, but I return to me.

I’m so excited for it.

Kanye West - Runaway Love Remix Featuring Raekwon and Justin Bieber

This song is fantastic. This is so fantastic, and easily tops Monster. Raekwon kills it (Kanye’s best company since he returned) and drops TWO VERSES. Justin Bieber on a resampled Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing Ta Fuck Wit track makes it seem like I’m not even listening to Justin Bieber. Kanye should keep doing risky shit like this, and stop with those dumbass usual suspects. The only thing missing from Monster to make it absolutely tank was DJ Khaled yelling shit.

Diddy - Dirty Money - Loving You Know More featuring Drake (mastered)

This song leaked a while ago, mainly with just reference recordings, and I really wasn’t too impressed. But the polished, finished version? It’s fantastic. The hook is really cheesy, but that’s not one of the great parts: there are the verses, the melodies, the piano, the production, and Drake’s verse. Drake did really well on here, which is great, because he has quite a spotty record on anyone else’s records.

I think Diddy wrote a lot of big checks for his upcoming album. I’m really excited. And Dirty Money sounds great too. Who would have thought all of those Making Da Bands would have snowballed into something listenable?

Takashi Murakami x Britney Spears x POP Magazine

The first thing that comes to mind when I see this is how recent the Lindsay Lohan X KAWS X Complex Magazine issue was. The two magazines generally go to two completely different demographics, but when they pull in Superflat artists, it brings the demographics a lot closer together. To me, it doesn’t seem as if Takashi Murakami had complete reign over the cover like KAWS did, as Takashi’s original compositions are a lot cleaner than this, but then again, the Takashi cover recycles Kaikai Kiki motifs, while the KAWS cover looks completely original. The only reason why I would prefer the POP magazine cover over the Complex cover is within the models. Lindsay Lohan is very uninteresting, and gives us very uninteresting poses in boring shots, in boring clothes. Complex expects males from 25-55 (gross to think about and type) to buy the magazine, and they gave them sex. Britney Spears, someone I find mildly more reclusive than Lindsay Lohan, is shot in a more interesting poses, ones that aren’t overtly and obtusely sexual, wearing interesting clothes, all of which can (so far) be credited to the photographer, Richard Prince. The POP cover, is aimed for a broader demographic, giving the viewer more art than sex. If only it weren’t for the obnoxious type cluttering the page, the POP magazine would have been quite the looker! EDIT: Turns out the direction is by Takashi Murakami, and it was shot by Todd Cole. This changes my view of Murakami’s influence on the page. It went from Pop/Commercial art to Fine art in seconds. Funny how the credits can change my opinion.
