Tim Kasher Solo Project?
Tonight is the second time Tim Kasher has played solo material at an open mic night in Whitefish, Montana (check here and here). He is said to be debuting new solo material at these open mic nights. So what’s he doing in Montana, and what are these new songs like? So far, there haven’t been any videos or reviews to pop up, but here’s something to consider:
Help Wanted Nights (the screenplay for a film), has been picked up, with release for 2010. This could be the last thing he gets out musically before he gets tangled into the production of his screenplay turned side project album with The Good Life turned film.
As well, we’ve heard Tim sing the sorrows of relationships gone sour, but, what about work based on his recent engagement?
Things could either get interesting quickly, or this may take a while (for instance, Mama, I’m Swollen was written, recorded and perfected over a year, with early versions of the song played in Omaha and Chicago in early 2008 (the album was released in March 2009).
Hopefully, we’ll hear something from somebody in Montana soon, or better, hopefully there is an official announcement!
